The news from mesh everyone has been waiting for...

Updated: 6 days ago

While it’s no longer a secret that MESH have been back in the studio for some time now, the latest updates make it clear – things are truly starting to take shape.

After the much loved album Looking Skyward landed in 2016, Mark Hockings and Richard Silverthorn quietly returned to writing mode, taking their time to explore and evolve the next chapter of their sound. Now, after months of creative development, many tracks are nearing completion, and others are deep in the production process.

The band have continued to share occasional hints online – just enough to keep anticipation bubbling without spoiling the final reveal.

Longtime collaborator Olaf Wollschläger is once again part of the production process and is fully immersed in the workflow as we write this. His involvement brings a familiar depth and precision to the sound, helping to shape the album as it continues to evolve in the studio.

As Richard Silverthorn explains:

“It’s been a while since the last studio album but the ideas and production are picking up speed. It’s great to be back in the flow of writing again. Still lots of work ahead but the excitement is building. The first dates are now booked so it’s all becoming a reality. Looking forward to playing the new songs with a brand new tour. Stay involved.”

Studio sessions continue behind the scenes, with plans for all key collaborators to come together for final touches soon. While no official release date has been confirmed by the label or the band, there's a strong sense that we’re getting closer – and fans can now circle something very real on the calendar.

Because yes – the first tour dates for the new album are officially here.

The title of the tour says it all – “The Truth Doesn’t Matter” – and if the early feedback is anything to go by, this new material will land with the same impact MESH have always been known for.

Stefan Herwig of Dependent Records shares:

"We are super excited for more than one reason: 1. that - after a longer phase of relative silence - there is finally new material in the pipe and MESH are back in the studios. But more important is 2. that the early tracks we have heard so far have really impressed us. Normally, when a band re-enters the studio after a longer period of silence, the first tracks are always a bit shaky, but not this time: here the first tracks sounded like they were never gone. Brace for some sonic greatness MESH style!”

The creative momentum is real – and with the tour announcement now public, fans finally have something solid to plan for.

These shows will sell fast – don’t miss your chance to be part of what promises to be a powerful new era for MESH.
